Data Retention

We retain your Personal Information for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Data Security

At Legislaide, we prioritize your data security and employ several stringent measures to safeguard your Personal Information. Here are some of the specific methods we utilize:

Access Limitation: Access to unpublished drafts is strictly controlled and restricted to only those users who created them and those whom they authorize. This access control policy ensures that your drafts remain confidential and are only visible to those you permit.

Data Encryption: To ensure the maximum protection of your sensitive data, we employ robust encryption methodologies. This includes data at rest (i.e., data stored on our servers) and data in transit (i.e., data transferred over networks). Encryption renders the data unreadable without the correct decryption key, providing an additional layer of security.

Non-usage of Unpublished Drafts for Training the AI: Our AI does not use unpublished drafts to enhance its capabilities, unless explicitly permitted by the user. We believe in transparently communicating our data usage policies, and we uphold user consent as paramount in our operations. In the event that unpublished drafts are utilized for training purposes, the data is thoroughly anonymized to maintain privacy.

Data Retention and Disposal: Unpublished drafts are retained for a period necessary to serve the purposes outlined in our Privacy Policy or until a user requests their deletion. Once the need for retention ceases or a user demands removal, the drafts undergo a secure disposal process, wherein they are either permanently erased or de-identified in line with prevailing laws and regulations.

Audit Logging: We maintain detailed audit logs that record access to drafts and any changes made to them. These logs capture information such as who accessed the draft, when it was accessed, and what modifications were implemented. Audit logging serves as an efficient way to monitor data access and identify any potential unauthorized usage or misuse.

Despite our robust measures, it is crucial to remember that no transmission over the Internet or via email is ever fully secure or error-free. We recommend caution when deciding what information to send us through these channels. While we strive to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of any privacy settings or protective measures on the Service or any third-party websites, and are not responsible for any circumvention of these protections.

We retain your Personal Information only as long as it is necessary to provide our Service, fulfill other legitimate business purposes, or comply with legal obligations. The exact retention period depends on various factors, including the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, the purposes for processing the information, and any legal requirements.

We remain committed to upholding your rights to privacy and will continue to review and update our security measures to offer the highest level of data protection possible.
